One Crazy Fiber Lady

Stranded

OMG. ¬†It is COOOOOOLLLLLDDDD outside. ¬†Heck, it isn’t overly warm today in the office, either that or I’m still frozen from the commute. ¬†Brrr. ¬†I don’t think this winter is ever going to end. ¬†The thermometer in my car read 14F when I took the kids to school. ¬† That’s way way below my 80F comfort level ;)

Enough bitching about this endless winter, I’m still constantly amazed at how much I can get done if I actually concentrate on a project.

This is my Selbu Modern as it stands now. ¬†I took this picture on the ferry this morning. ¬†I might not have mentioned this, but I’m knitting it in Koigu. ¬†Yum. ¬†The band was on US0 and the rest has been on US2 16″ addi’s. ¬†It has progressed far enough that I was able to try the band on the noggin without all the stitches falling off the needles last night. ¬†A little tighter than I’d like but I think it should block out fine. ¬†

I had to put it aside last night during the ride home. ¬†Yesterday must have been overly stressful as I didn’t have enough brain cells left to concentrate on two color stranding. ¬†I played The Sims on my netbook instead. ¬†That is why I carry multiple things to do. ¬†I shouldn’t be bored during my commute ;)

I’m sort of hopeful that I can get this hat finished tonight at SnB. ¬†I’m only a couple of rounds shy of the decrease so it is possible. ¬†I tucked my size 2 DPNs in my bag just in case. ¬†

Craft on!

It is in the 40s today, 30s yesterday. This is the south, so it’s worse. that is so pretty. My one attempt at Norwegian type mittens was frogged after I reversed the colors, then got the mitten too small. The 2 colors of yarn are now tangled together in a bag

It’s 4:25 in the afternoon. We have just hit our projected daily high temp of 15 degrees F. Tomorrow will be 27. Will this winter ever end?

Yeah, too damned cold for my comfort. When your skin shrinks in horror upon that icy blast, you know it’s cold.

Beautiful job with the koigu, it’s going to be lovely when it’s finished.
