While I wait for Knitpicks to get their heads out of their butts pack my order, I continue to work on Mr Not-So-Greenjeans. ¬†Anyone else notice the inordinate amount of time it takes for Knitpicks to grab a few skeins off the shelf and tuck into a box? ¬†I placed the order two days ago now and it is still pending. ¬†Really? ¬† ¬†That’s why I never pay for the “speedy” shipping from them cause it isn’t the shipping that’s the slow part, its the putting it in a box that is!
Okay, enough griping there, I have other things to keep my needles busy..
Mr. Not-S0-Greenjeans is now an inch shy of binding off the bottom hem. ¬†Here “he” is lounging on the ferry seat this morning:
I should be able to get that part finished today, if not on the way home, then definitely at SnB.  This morning in a fit of optimism, I dug out the extra long cable and the larger needle tips so I can get to work on the sleeves tonight.  Hehe.
Now if I should finish Mr. N-S-G before the yarn arrives from Knitpicks, there is another project that has me all eager. ¬†Didja all see ChicKnit’s newest design?
I lurve this look! ¬†I bought the pattern the day she announced it.. oh and then had a bit of a falling down at Colourmart and bought some 100% cashmere 8/28 in chocolate brown. ¬†The yarn arrived in yesterday’s mail
¬†I’m still trying to decide which version I’m going to do first. ¬†A week ago when I placed the order, I was leaning towards the cardigan, but the last few days has me on the pulli. ¬† ¬†Whichever I do first, I’ll do the other in some stashed Lavold Silky Tweed.
So what do you all think of the every other day blogging? ¬†I think I like it better. ¬†I can actually post real progress shots and things have a better chance of changing over 48 hours. ¬†Real substance in posts rather than, “yeah here’s a picture of the additional inch I knit and oh yeah, nothing else”. ¬†What do you think?
Craft on!

LOL You’re the only person I know who would call a sweater’s worth of cashmere a “fall down”. But yes, I love that sweater! I’m thinking I’ll add it to my queue because that’s a look that’s great for any woman from Risa-thin to Tina-plus. I especially like the cardigan version except then I’d have to purl and I am so over that for now.

Every other day is good….better than I manage, and I don’t work. I don’t know why I keep forgetting Mr. Greenjeans when I go looking for something to knit! Yours is looking great!

I am not the least bit surprised that you love the new Chicknits design. Don’t you love ALL of them? (grin)

The current sweater is looking great! I must confess I have never had a problem with Knit Picks being slow. I’ve always been shocked at how quickly I’ve gotten my orders, but I am not a frequent buyer.
That new sweater from Chick Knits is LOVELY! Would look very nice on those of use who are “undertall.”

That Chic Knits pattern looks like fun. It may even look ok on my round-ish figure. I find KP a little slow too. If their stuff wasn’t so affordable and nice I’d be really put off.
BTW, if you haven’t seen it yet, I nominated you for a Kreativ Blogger award this week.

Yes, KnitPicks is WAAAY slow! I actually thing they’ve improved in the lat couple years — I know I waited over 3 weeks for my first order from them, and swore I would never use them again…. (oops!) Their yarn prices sure are good, though, and I love the Harmony needles.
