One Crazy Fiber Lady

Mojo

February 10th, 2009 · 8 Comments

This knitting mojo is a mysterious thing. ¬† I used to be a sock knitter. ¬†And a pretty productive one at that! ¬†But not recently, and certainly not over the last twelve months or so. ¬†Looking at my Ravelry projects, the last pair of handknitted adult sized socks where completed in May 2008. ¬†If memory serves, there is an undocumented pair of finished socks in STR Firebird that I knit while on that boating vacation. ¬†In June. ¬†They aren’t “technically” done as I haven’t woven in the ends yet. ¬†Yet. ¬†I know. ¬†

I’ve knit two pairs of shrimp girl socks, and cranked a pair or two, but that’s it. ¬†Sad. ¬†

I think i might just have my mojo back though.  I turned the heel on the Mini Mochi last night during the commute and hit the foot running this morning.

I did a few rows on my Mr. Greenjeans last night while watching ‘24′ before moving back to the Ladybug to work on the second bobbin of the fiber I was spinning at Jessica’s on Saturday. ¬†I’m spinning some vintage roving that I picked up at MASW ‘07.: ¬†4oz of handpainted BFL in Winnipeg from¬†Spunky Eclectic. ¬†I finished the first bobbin up on Saturday and have about an oz of fiber left to spin at this point. ¬†Makes for good TV work, and a WW activity point while I’m at it :)

Craft on!
