It appears that I have a budding Michelangelo in my house. (click to biggen)

Fresco

He worked on this masterpiece sometime between the time I kissed him goodnight and when I checked on him before turning in myself.  The incriminating marker was still in his sleeping hand.  Fortunately, it was a washable marker and the ‘magic eraser’ worked on it.  He was pissed this morning to find it gone.  Oy.

As an aside, I took this picture with the lights off using the "Night Snapshot" setting on my Elph.  I’m seriously impressed.

Obligatory Knitting Content:  I’m halfway through the short row heel on the second Jitterbug sock.  Woot!

Craft on!

That picture is adorable. Be sure to save it — we still give my brother a hard time about the clown he drew on the wall about 35 years ago, and we don’t even have photographic evidence!

That’s such a great picture. You should save it. When I was his age I drew on a mirror in my grandparents house in red crayon. They never wiped it off. In fact, I think it was still there when they sold the house 2 years ago.

Aww. That is so cute. Kudos to you on giving the kids washable markers! :) Creativity strikes wherever it can. :)

O-M-G! And you didn’t murder him before morning?!?! Yeah. I’m so totally not cut out for kids….

Oh yes…Peanut did that with a black sharpie in our old house. Sharpie + flat paint = no way it’s coming off. The magic eraser faded it, but nothing ever got rid of it.

My daughter also frequently gets artistic with her markers and walls, floors, and anything that catches her eye. It can drive me nuts — but your little artist & his creation are so cute! He must be glad you took a picture of his art before you washed it off ;)

Cute fresco with the sun in the upper corner. The magic erase sponges are miraculous!! I love them!

my mom went to the art store and got these giant rolls of paper and would tape them to the wall for me to draw on :) It’s one of my earliest memories to hah

LOL!!! At least it was washable — I was the purple crayon artist in my family and they had to paint over my Picassos!

    Oh my! Great attitude mom.

Emily used to decorate the stairwell at the old house and that did NOT wash off easily and required paint touch-up, which reduced the charm considerably. I’m so glad you had an easy cleanup!

You’ll always be happy you remembered your camera for this one.

Just like Harold and Purple Crayon. Megan was famous for drawing on any surface. She signed her name to a frineds foot stool once. happy holidays
