One Crazy Fiber Lady

Ministry of Silly Walks

April 27th, 2007 · 9 Comments

The verdict is in. Torn ligament in the ankle. I re-sprained it in the pothole. I’m back wearing a brace holding a prescription for 3x week physical therapy and an MRI with a follow up appointment in 3 weeks. Woo hoo. I’ll be one one with the silly walk next weekend at MDSW. Now I really need a single treadle wheel.

I’m kicking back for the rest of the afternoon, doing a little code, foot up, DVR remote near at hand.

Thanks for all the well wishes!

Craft on!

Ahh a pothole. Those can be dangerous! Glad you’ll be ok though. :)

Sometimes those torn ligaments are worse than fractures. There’s always the hike up Mount Snow if all else fails, but I bet the doc won’t approve! Hope you feel better!

Risa, rest up and get well for next weekend and fun on your own at the MDS&W.

Oh no… but at least you know what it is that is causing you pain… and it is a valid ‘excuse’ to get a new wheel too :)

Hope the pain will lessen soon!!!

    Cheers Eva

Oh no! I’m so sorry you re-sprained it!

I only ever treadle with one foot even though all of my wheelse are double treadle. Try giving the injured foot a rest and seeing if you can mange the single foot freadling on the double treadle wheel. It works beautifully for me.

DVR remotes have been known to speed along recovery – at least, that’s what I’ve experienced ;o)

    Feel better soon!!

Ouch. Do take it easy – ligaments can be slow to heal.
