Well my brief spring break is now over.  I’ve spent 5 solid days with the monkeys.  Just when I finally adjusted to life at home without begging to go to the office, it is time to go there.  It was a busy couple of days, coupled with some beautiful weather.  Here’s a quick list of thing we did:

Monday:

  • Modern Yarn where mom and I shopped while the kids colored so nicely with markers.
  • Walk to Soda Pops for lunch to discover they are gone
  • McDonalds Lunch
  • Walk/Trike around block
  • Play in park
  • Nap
  • Work on Setesdal (lose to Sara who wanted to sleep on it)

Tuesday:

  • Van Saun Park Zoo / Park
  • IHOP lunch
  • Nap
  • Sew buttons on Fana

  • Begin Mitered Square Blanket as 1824 Cotton arrived on Big Brown Van
  • Begin to play with new Palm T|X also on Big Brown Van
  • Block Swallowtail
  • Enjoy new front porch

Wednesday:

  • Haircuts (mom, Kat’s bangs, me)
  • KMart for Dora, Ariel and Tinkerbell panties
  • Burger King lunch
  • Nap
  • Unpin Swallowtail

  • Sync Palm T|X with iMac after getting iSync and finding old Palm stuff that had been on the much missed Treo
  • Block Forest Canopy Shawl

Time to go work on the much neglected abs now.  Bathing suit season is around the corner! :)

Craft on.

I’m so jealous that your kids still take naps. I miss nap. :-) That’s some lovely knitting, too!

Nice shawls. I guess it’s time for me to do my damn swallowtail, huh?

    Abs,what are those? ;)

Soad Pops closed?? I can’t believe it. That sucks. Abs? Just keep your knitting strategically placed at all times. Sort of like a celebrity hiding their baby bump (bump, I hate that term) with a snazzy handbag. Your FOs are fantastic.

That’s a lot of stuff crammed into one post! You know, I’d noticed that Soda Pops was gone when Liz and I went into Montclair last month, and was really sorry to see it. There was a sign on the window, but of course, from my car, I couldn’t read it. Pity–that was a fun place!

And, yes, all the knitting looks fabulous. Of course!

Wow, beautiful lace! Love both the patterns and the rich, deep colors. And potty training too? Very productive in my book.

It’s not so long in the past that I’ve forgotten … I mean potty training, not having a FO to block ;) Having an FO is a distant memory. Anyway, it’s amazingly consuming for a while, then suddenly one day you’ll realize it’s been a month or two with no accidents or dramas and you’ll be home free. Glorious day indeed.

Wow! Both shawls look amazingingly drool worthy. I really have to get some lace knitting in sometime soon. I keep seeing beautiful shawls everywhere! I love the fair isle sweater too. So cute. Aren’t kitties just so helpful some days? ;)
