Wrong Path

I had to post the results from this quiz.  I nearly snorted my soup when I hit the last paragraph as to what careers not to go into.  Glad I’m still paying off my law school loans ;)   I do feel vindicated in my jump from that career to programming though.  I need to show this to my dad who still shakes his head.

Your Career Type: Investigative

You are precise, scientific, and intellectual.

Your talents lie in understanding and solving math and science problems.

You would make an excellent:

Architect – Biologist – Chemist
Dentist – Electrical Technician – Mathematician
Medical Technician – Meteorologist – Pharmacist
Physician – Surveyor – Veterinarian

The worst career options for your are enterprising careers, like lawyer or real estate agent.

No Title

I have no title today as I just can’t think one up.  I woke up this mornign with a doozy of a headache living behind my right eye so I’m going to quickie post some bullet points:

  • My project at work is progressing nicely and I’m pretty sure I’ll hit my deadline with it.  Yay.  Employment is a good thing when one has kids and a yarn habit.
  • Birchington is progressing nicely as well.  I’m using Addi Turbos in US4 for this and the points are just too dull. Not to mention the needles a bit slick.  I did some major surfing for new needles and decided to try the ebony circs at WEBS.  The points look decent and well, ebony is way neater than bamboo, right?
  • Since I couldn’t order just needles from WEBS, I had to do a little browsing there to justify the shipping.  Yeah.  That’s the ticket.  Believe it or not, but I’m pretty sure that this is my first ever order from them.  I got 6 skeins of the Artyarns Supermerino in color 124 for Clapotis.  I know I pegged the beautiful peachy stuff from Cummington but heck that has to be spun yet and with all the completed Clapotis out, I WANT ONE TOO.  Clapotis will jump in the queue to next after Birchington is done… or the baby gift for Marina.  Whichever comes first.
  • Birchington, at least on Addi Turbos, is a terrible project for knitting on the bus.  Especially when one is already queasy with a headache.
  • My head hurts.  Did I mention that?
  • I also picked up a skein of Cascade 220 in black for a little charitable knitting
  • Speaking of charitable knitting, I need to get back to the hats I had been making for the preemies in the NICU from which my twins graduated, the same hospital that I stayed in for more then 8 weeks on bedrest.
  • I have yet to start that poor sock.
  • I finished reading Wolves of the Calla and very much enjoyed it.  Now I’m trying to finish off some half read stuff, including this, before the new Harry Potter arrives (hopefully) on my door on Saturday.

Craft on.
