Oh my, just reading about your and the fridge made my head hurt – that’s just about the worst kind of “it won’t kill you but it feels like it” bumps. I’ve done it myself, so you have my total sympathy. Sorry re the headache too. Glad you’re feeling better.

That yarn worked perfectly for your shrug! I understand the pull of the shrug – they’re everywhere, and as you’ve proved, lickety split knits. Would not flatter me though. Anyway, I think I’ve got enough on my plate.

I also cringed when I read about the freezer door – I’ve done that (more then once) and I’m glad you’re feeling better!

I can only say “yay!!” for seeing the sheep shed wares again A clapotis is a great idea for them, and I’m guessing a wheel not in use is a wheel begging to be used.

as for the shrug – it came out great (that’s lovely yarn) but I’m not a shrug person, so I think I understand what you mean about being too old for it. Either way, it’s beautiful and the stripes are striking.

I am probably a bit younger than you (I’m 27) and I feel way to old for those shorty sweater/shrug things! I work on a college campus, and I’ve seen a few of them, and that just confirmed it for me. Besides, I’m not built right for one of those

Glad your feeling better. My postion on polworth fleece is buy it buy all even if you have 600 other fleeces polworth is way too good to ever pass up. I like your cute little sweater thingy. Does it have like a reagular name?

I bought that shrug pattern myself a couple of weeks ago and ordered yarn from Webs to make one for my almost-13 year old daughter. I’m very pleased to hear that it knit up so quickly! It looks great and I’m glad your headache is better. By the way, I think this is the first time I’ve left a comment on your blog, but I’ve been reading for a while. The twins are so cute!

I’m with you on the shrug… they seem fun to knit – but I challenge those who make them – do they really get worn?
